Black Friday Ads

There are some new Black Friday Ads posted on TGIBlackFriday.com. I scanned it a little bit, but I do love sitting under a blanket on Thanksgiving looking at all of the official newspaper ads:)

Thoughts...Tips...Reminders

This posting may be full of randomness, but I have some things on my mind based on few of me experiences this weekend.

1) The UP coupon is good through the 17th and the BR/DVD combo pack in on sale for $19.99 at Target this week.

2) Don't forget about price adjustments. An item I bought last week for a gift is on sale this week at Target...all I had to do was take my receipt to costumer service and now have my $3.68 back:)

3) Be on the look out for online price matches. I found a great deal on a gift item for Hannah this weekend and then found an even better deal on at another site. I went back to website 1 and they have a 110% price match policy...they did it for me and I ended up with an item that is currently $69.99 at Toys R Us for only $33. I didn't just get it at site 2 mainly because they didn't have a good shipping incentive like website 1. Very exciting. It's the Melissa and Doug Deluxe Easel btw, in case your interested.

4)  I did the Hasbro deal at TRU this week...very exciting. 7 games for $4. My grandmother took advantage of the $3.99 items, but none of hers qualified for the rebate, but she still met the $25 Hasbro deal and got the $10 gift card...guess who she gave it too as a thank you for helping her find all of her super deals on Christmas gifts??? ;0) I went back to TRU with my 2 $10 gift cards and spent $2.05 on Lillian's Birthday gift!

5) Now for the heavy stuff. Giving. I love the Christmas season. I love giving gifts. I love finding great deals on gifts that are creative and a perfect match for my loved ones. BUT, I also love finding deals that will be perfect for those I may not even know. So many are in need this Christmas. Those who struggle year after year...those who lost their job  this year and have been forced to change their Christmas giving...those who are physically not able to shop...those who struggle week to week to put food on the table...those who are alone...those who can desperately use a glimpse of God's love for them this Christmas.

I had an email hiding from me in the ole JM box today from the North Point Mall club thingie. All I have to do is print it and take it with me, along with my i.d., on Saturday from 11am-6pm and get a $10 gift card. I wonder how many gifts I can get for that? I may go crazy and just get one expensive item! Ok...I'm chucklin' at myself a little bit now. That's means I need to go get some snacks ready so I can stare at the CMAs for a few hours.
